 Ever since netizens heard snippets of ‘Dekhha Tenu’ in the trailer of Mr & Mrs Mahi, they have been waiting with bated breaths to hear the full version of the song. And just a while ago, the makers released the track and treated Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s fans to the sweetest romantic song of the season.

The song is inspired by the tune and lines from Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham’s Shava Shava. This revamped version – of the song that featured Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, is the perfect love anthem. You are sure to be listening to it on loop soon.

The track captures the budding love story of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor from the time they get married to when he trains her to become a professional cricketer. Mr & Mrs Mahi’s first song includes several sequences that see the newlyweds falling in love with each other and accepting their significant other’s dreams as their own. From temple sequences and Holi celebrations to spending quality time with each other on dates and in their home, the love-filled track overflows with love for one’s partner.

The first song released from the Mr And Mrs Mahi album is composed and written by Jaani. Sung by Mohammad Faiz, Dekhha Tenu carries forward the legacy of ‘Say ‘Shava Shava’’ composed by Aadesh Shrivastava. The OG song was written by Sameer Anjaan and sung by Udit Narayan.

The upcoming romantic sports drama stars Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. It sees Kapoor play a doctor and Rao working in the family business. the film captures the couple’s journey as Raj’s character helps train his wife to pursue a cricket career instead. Directed by Sharan Sharma, and produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ is scheduled to release on May 31.
